y band F$*k the Informer is one of my favorite art projects. A legendary punk band from Salt Lake, the project has been going on and off for years. We recently started playing shows again, and I’ve been experimenting with it. Through iconography and nonchalant descriptions, I’ve created an organically analog scene within a crowd that hasn’t even heard us. I purposely chose to make it inaccessible online, and because of this, the only way you can hear our songs are at the shows. It’s been interesting to see how receptive people have been to the idea itself. It’s a good example of what I’m capable of creating, a hype machine that exists because I decided to make it happen.
